Marisa's Sticky Date Pudding


Ingredients: 
500gm Dates 
900ml Water 
180gm Butter 
3tsp Bicarb Soda 
1tsp Cinnamon 
510gm Castor Sugar 
6 Egg Yolks 
510gm Self Raising Flour 
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla

Method: 
Put dates with water and cinnamon and bring to the boil, then turn off the heat. Puree and leave to cool. Add bicarb. Cream butter and sugar, add the egg yolks and vanilla, then fold in flour and date mixture alternately. Bake at 170C for 12-15 mins. This recipe makes approximately 20 individual 100gm puddings.
